The Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers (ISPE), has announced that Alex Kemsley, Managing Director of Waterstream, the UK’s leading specialist in domestic swimming pools, has been awarded an ISPE fellowship. This is the highest honour bestowed by the ISPE council, recognising his outstanding service to both the swimming pool industry and the Institute itself.<\/span><\/p>\n Founded in 1978, ISPE is the leading authority for professionals in the swimming pool and wet leisure industries. The organisation supports professionals in the sector with expert training, recognised qualifications, and resources for continuous learning.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI am incredibly proud to have been made a fellow of ISPE and for the recognition from my peers in this industry\u201d, comments Alex. \u201cI am looking forward to raising wider awareness of ISPE and of all of the great work it does for professionals in the industry and for young people embarking on their careers in this sector. One of my missions is to evolve the education programme. As a dyslexic entrepreneur, I understand the importance of addressing different learning styles and want to make ISPE\u2019s education programme more inclusive for all types of learning.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Alex has served as a director of ISPE since October 2022, where he has contributed his extensive knowledge to the organisation\u2019s rebrand and marketing programme. With over two decades of experience in the swimming pool and spa sector, he is recognised as one of the UK’s leading industry experts in the wet leisure market, swimming pool design, installation and innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n ISPE President Bob Judd, FISPE, explained, \u2018\u2018In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Institute, during a period of transition, Alex was voted by the council to become a fellow of the ISPE.<\/span><\/p>\n During this period, not only did we see personnel changes, but a rebranding of all our printed material has also been undertaken, a new website, plus the implementation of a new management system, which will enable the ISPE to support its growing membership. Once again, congratulations, Alex.\u2019\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n ISPE General Manager Luke Griffiths added, \u201cI would like to express my sincere thanks to Alex for his continued support since I stepped into the role of General Manager.
